How to send GPL Feast a copyright notice or a counter-notice, what each must contain, who receives them and what happens next.
On this page
GPL Feast shares premium WordPress plugins, themes and template kits made by their developers. If you believe something on GPL Feast infringes your copyright, send us a notice and we will act on it promptly.
Who receives notices
Notices are received and handled by GPL Feast, which runs gplfeast.com, at [email protected]. Notices sent with the form on this page go to the same address. We read them Monday to Saturday, 12:30 AM to 3:30 PM GMT, and answer by email.
What a notice must contain
Following the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), a notice includes:
- the signature, physical or electronic, of the copyright owner or of a person authorised to act for them;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- the material on GPL Feast you want removed, with the address of each page;
- your name, email address and other contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Use the form below, or email the same details to [email protected].
What happens next
We review each complete notice and reply to you by email. Where the notice holds up, we remove or disable the material it names. If a notice is missing something, we reply and ask for it.
Counter-notices
If material was removed or disabled after a notice and you believe this happened by mistake, or because the material was misidentified, you can send a counter-notice. Following 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), a counter-notice includes:
- your signature, physical or electronic;
- the material that was removed or disabled, and the address where it appeared before;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number;
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which GPL Feast may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent.
Email it to [email protected] with “Counter-notice” in the subject line.
After a counter-notice
- We check that it is complete and reply by email. If something is missing, we ask for it.
- We send a copy of the counter-notice, including your contact details, to the person who sent the original notice.
- Unless that person first tells us that they have filed a court action to keep the material removed, we may restore it 10 to 14 business days after we received the counter-notice.
Anyone who knowingly makes a false claim in a notice or a counter-notice can be liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). If you are not sure, consider asking a lawyer before you send either.
Trademarks and images
Complaints about a trademark, a logo or an image are welcome through the same form. Say which right you hold and where it is used.
