Where our files come from
How GPL Feast handles plugin, theme and kit files: releases as developers publish them, changes noted on product pages, older versions and problem reports.
On this page
This page explains what you get when you download a product from GPL Feast, how new and older versions are handled, and what to do if a file looks wrong.
Products as their developers release them
The plugins, themes and template kits on GPL Feast are shared as their developers release them: zip files you install in WordPress or, for kits, import with the Template Kit Import plugin. GPL Feast is not affiliated with the developers. Product names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products.
Plugins and themes with a small change
Some plugins and themes carry a small change so that they work without the developer’s licence key. When a plugin or theme has such a change, its page says so in its Important note. Sharing a changed version is one of the freedoms the GPL gives, on the conditions explained in What the GPL allows.
The change does not bring back what runs on the developer’s servers. AI credits, cloud template libraries, premium demo imports and add-on stores still need the developer’s licence. The rest of the product works on your site as usual.
New versions
GPL Feast checks for new versions every 15 minutes, and they usually arrive within hours of their release. Each product page shows the current version, its release date and its changelog under What’s new. Just updated lists the newest versions across the catalogue, and the GPL Feast Updater brings them to your sites.
Older versions
When a new version arrives, the earlier ones are kept. A product’s page lists its recent older versions, each with its date and a summary of what changed. Members can download older versions of any product, and buyers older versions of the product they bought. Older versions do not use a daily download. If you need a version that is not listed, ask support. Template kits have no older versions.
If a file looks wrong
Tell us when a download does not match its page: the wrong version, a missing file, an error when you install it, or a warning from your security scanner. There are two ways:
- On the product’s page, log in and use the round button at the bottom left, Request an update or report a problem. Choose Report a problem, pick the kind of problem and say what happened.
- Write to us through the contact page or at [email protected].
Include the product, the version and what you saw, with any error message and the steps that show it. Our team looks into every report. We answer Monday to Saturday, 12:30 AM to 3:30 PM GMT.
What is not included
A download from GPL Feast does not include the developer’s support, a licence key or the developer’s online services. We help with your account, downloads, updates and installing the products. What the GPL allows explains why a GPL store cannot offer the rest, and the help center answers common questions about licences and updates.
