What’s new in Advanced Notifications 1.7.4

Version 1.7.4 · Oct 7, 2026 Latest
  • ImprovedDeprecated init_advanced_notifications() and activate_advanced_notifications() in favor of woocommerce_advanced_notifications_init() and woocommerce_advanced_notifications_activate(); both original functions remain available and registered as before.

What it does

By default, WooCommerce sends its order and stock emails to the store admin. That works for a one-person shop, but it gets awkward once other people handle fulfillment or restocking. This plugin lets you create multiple notification recipients, each with their own details, and decide which events they receive. New orders, low stock, no stock and backorders can all go to the people who need to act on them, so nobody has to forward emails by hand.

Each recipient can be limited by product category, shipping class or individual product. A supplier who stocks one product line only sees orders for that line, and a drop shipper only gets the items they ship. You can also include or leave out prices and order totals, which helps when you share order details with third parties. Notifications use WooCommerce's default email templates, so they match the rest of your store emails. The plugin requires WooCommerce and offers multi-language support.

Best for

  • WooCommerce stores working with drop shippers
  • Shops whose suppliers need order or stock alerts
  • Store teams splitting fulfillment across several people

Features

Multiple notification recipients

Add as many recipients as you need, each with personalized details, so staff members, suppliers and partners get their own copies of store updates.

Order and stock event alerts

Send notifications for new orders, low stock, no stock and backorders, letting the right people react to inventory and sales events.

Filters by category or shipping class

Limit a recipient's notifications to specific product categories or shipping classes so they only receive alerts that relate to their part of the store.

Per-product notification assignments

Assign notifications to individual products, so a supplier or drop shipper only receives order information for the items they actually handle.

Optional prices and totals

Choose whether each notification includes or leaves out prices and order totals, keeping sensitive figures private when sharing orders with outside partners.

WooCommerce email templates

Notifications are built on WooCommerce's default email templates, giving them the same consistent look as the other emails your store sends.

Multi-language support

The plugin includes multi-language support, making it suitable for stores that run in languages other than English.

Questions about Advanced Notifications

Can I send order emails to my suppliers instead of just myself?

Yes. You can create multiple recipients, including suppliers, and assign them notifications for new orders. Using product, category or shipping class filters, each supplier only receives orders that contain the products they are responsible for.

Can I hide prices from the emails my drop shipper receives?

Yes. Notification content can be set to include or exclude prices and order totals. This lets you share the order details a drop shipper needs to fulfill an item without revealing what the customer paid.

What kinds of events can trigger a notification?

The plugin can send notifications for new orders, low stock, no stock and backorders. That covers both order fulfillment and inventory monitoring, so the person who restocks products can hear about shortages directly.

Do I need WooCommerce for this plugin to work?

Yes. It is a WooCommerce extension and requires WooCommerce. It uses WooCommerce's default email templates, so the extra notifications look consistent with the standard emails your store already sends.

Is Advanced Notifications free?

The code of Advanced Notifications is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Advanced Notifications is this?

Version 1.7.4, released Oct 7, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Advanced Notifications?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Advanced Notifications automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does Advanced Notifications need?

Advanced Notifications needs WooCommerce installed and active.
