What it does
Anyone who runs a network of WordPress sites knows the routine: every site needs its own Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, About Us and Support Policy page, and writing each one by hand is slow and prone to mistakes. This extension moves that work into one place. You create a boilerplate page or post in your dashboard and send it to as many Child sites as you need, so the wording stays consistent from site to site.
The extension relies on placeholders called tokens. You drop a token into your boilerplate where site-specific details belong, and each Child site gets its own version with the right values filled in. After publishing, you can still edit the boilerplate from the dashboard, and the changes sync to the sites that use it. It requires MainWP and works inside the dashboard you already use to manage your network.
Best for
- Agencies managing many client sites with MainWP
- Freelancers who maintain standard legal pages for clients
- Site networks needing consistent pages and posts
Features
Create and manage standard pages in one place inside the MainWP Dashboard, then apply updates to all connected Child sites to keep content consistent.
Insert placeholders that fill in site-specific details automatically for each Child site, so one boilerplate produces a personalized page on every site.
Deploy new pages or update existing ones across your whole network in a few clicks instead of opening each site separately.
Change boilerplate content at any time from the dashboard, and the changes sync to the Child sites so pages stay current.
Manage standardized posts as well as pages, which helps when the same announcement or article needs to appear on several sites.
Handle pages that need uniform wording, such as Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, About Us and Support Policy, from a single source.
Tokens, posts and pages lists show guidance placeholders when no items exist yet, making it easier to see where to start.

Questions about Boilerplate Extension
What do I need to use this extension?
It is an extension for MainWP, so you need a MainWP Dashboard with connected Child sites. The boilerplate pages and posts are created in the dashboard and published to those Child sites.
How do tokens work in the boilerplate content?
Tokens are placeholders you place in your boilerplate text where site-specific information should go. When the content is published to a Child site, each token is replaced with that site's value, so every site gets a personalized version without manual editing.
Can I change a page after it has been pushed to my sites?
Yes. You can edit the boilerplate from the MainWP Dashboard after publication, and the updates sync across the Child sites using it. This keeps pages like a Privacy Policy current everywhere.
Does it handle posts or only pages?
It supports both. You can create and manage standardized pages and standardized posts across your network from the same interface.
Is Boilerplate Extension free?
The code of Boilerplate Extension is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Boilerplate Extension is this?
Version 5.0.4, released May 29, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Boilerplate Extension?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Boilerplate Extension automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Boilerplate Extension need?
Boilerplate Extension needs MainWP installed and active.
