What it does

Selling tickets through a third-party platform sends buyers away from your site and splits your event data across two systems. This plugin keeps ticket sales inside your WooCommerce store. You create tickets as products, set different ticket types with their own pricing and stock limits, and collect attendee details through custom fields at checkout. Because it runs on WooCommerce, which it requires, orders, coupons and customer records stay in the dashboard you already use.

After the sale, the plugin helps with the event itself. You can search attendees by name, ticket ID, email or company, which helps at onsite check-in, and export attendee lists by ticket type as CSV files. Post-purchase emails can be customized, and bulk emails let you send updates to attendees. Ticket holders can be given access to private content such as webinars or live streams through WooCommerce Groups, and WooCommerce Order Barcodes can add ticket scanning.

Questions about Box Office

Do I need WooCommerce to use Box Office?

Yes. This is a WooCommerce extension, so it requires WooCommerce. Tickets are set up as products in your store, and orders, coupons and customers are handled through the WooCommerce dashboard.

Can I sell different kinds of tickets for one event?

Yes. You can create multiple ticket types, such as VIP, early bird and general admission, each with its own price, benefits and inventory limit, so you can control how many of each type are sold.

Can it help with check-in at the event?

The attendee search lets you look people up by name, ticket ID, email or company during check-in. It works with WooCommerce Order Barcodes for ticket scanning, and you can also export attendee lists by ticket type as CSV files.

Can I give ticket buyers access to online content?

Yes. By working with WooCommerce Groups, the plugin can restrict content such as private webinars, downloadable materials or live-stream access to people who hold active paid tickets.

Is Box Office free?

The code of Box Office is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Box Office is this?

Version 1.6.4, released Oct 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Box Office?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Box Office automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does Box Office need?

Box Office needs WooCommerce installed and active.
