What’s new in Bulk Settings Manager 5.0.5
- FixedAn issue with saving keys to child sites.
What it does
Updating the same settings on several WordPress sites one by one is slow, and it is easy to miss a site or enter a value incorrectly. This extension moves that work into your MainWP Dashboard. From there you can push WordPress Core, plugin and theme settings out to your connected Child sites in bulk. You can send changes to every site or pick individual sites and groups when only some of them need the update.
The extension works with the MainWP Key Maker plugin. You set things up the way you want on a source site, Key Maker captures those settings as a reusable key, and you apply that key to other Child sites. It works with plugins and themes that use standard WordPress form fields. If you also use the MainWP Boilerplate Extension, you can add boilerplate tokens to keys so values change per site.
Best for
- Agencies managing many client WordPress sites in MainWP
- Freelancers maintaining several sites with shared plugin settings
- Site networks that need consistent configuration across Child sites
Features
Change WordPress Core, plugin and theme settings across your MainWP Child sites at the same time, instead of editing each site by hand.
Capture preferred settings from a single source site using the MainWP Key Maker plugin and turn them into a reusable key for other sites.
Apply a key to selected individual sites or groups of Child sites when a blanket update across your whole network is not what you need.
Works with any plugin or theme whose settings use standard WordPress form fields, which covers a wide range of settings pages.
Pair it with the MainWP Boilerplate Extension to place tokens inside keys, so dynamic values can differ from one Child site to another.
Create a key once and reapply it whenever you add or update sites, keeping the same configuration across your network.

Questions about Bulk Settings Manager
Do I need MainWP to use this extension?
Yes. It is an extension for the MainWP Dashboard and applies settings to the Child sites connected to it. It also works alongside the MainWP Key Maker plugin, which captures the settings you want to send out as a key.
Can I apply settings to only some of my sites?
Yes. You can choose individual Child sites or groups of sites to receive a settings key, so you are not forced to update every site in your network at once.
Will it work with my plugins and themes?
It works with plugins and themes that use standard WordPress form fields for their settings. Settings pages built with custom, non-standard forms may not be captured the same way.
Can settings vary from site to site?
With the MainWP Boilerplate Extension, you can add boilerplate tokens to your keys. These act as dynamic variables, so a single key can fill in values that differ for each Child site.
Is Bulk Settings Manager free?
The code of Bulk Settings Manager is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Bulk Settings Manager is this?
Version 5.0.5, released May 20, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Bulk Settings Manager?
