What it does
Some businesses want to list their products online without taking orders through the site. They may sell through quotes, sell in person, or need to keep prices private because of Minimum Advertised Price agreements with manufacturers. A standard WooCommerce store assumes every visitor can see prices and buy, so this plugin gives you a way to switch those parts off while keeping your product pages, categories and inventory in place.
The plugin works on top of WooCommerce, which it requires. You can hide prices from everyone or show them only to logged-in users, and you can remove the cart, checkout and add-to-cart buttons entirely. Where those elements would normally appear, you can display your own alternate message or content, such as a note asking visitors to get in touch. When you decide to start selling online, you can switch back to full store mode without rebuilding the site.
Best for
- Wholesalers showing prices only to registered trade accounts
- Retailers that must follow Minimum Advertised Price agreements
- Businesses that sell through quotes or in person
Features
Remove the cart, checkout process and buy buttons so your store works as a product catalog focused on displaying items rather than taking orders.
Take product prices off the storefront entirely, which suits businesses that handle pricing through inquiries or offline conversations with customers.
Show prices and purchase options only to authenticated, logged-in users, so the public sees products while approved customers see the full details.
Set alternative messages or content to appear in place of prices and add-to-cart buttons, so visitors still get useful information when those features are off.
Toggle the site back to full online selling when you are ready, or pause sales again later, without rebuilding your product pages.
Keep pricing hidden from the public to help meet Minimum Advertised Price rules set out in your manufacturer or supplier agreements.
Restrict pricing and buying to logged-in accounts to create a controlled catalog for wholesale clients or members.

Questions about Catalog Visibility Options
Can I hide prices from the public but show them to my customers?
Yes. You can limit price and purchase information to logged-in users. Visitors who are not signed in see your products without prices or buy buttons, while users with accounts see pricing and can purchase as normal.
What do visitors see where the price and add-to-cart button used to be?
You can configure alternate messages or content to replace prices and add-to-cart buttons. This lets you point visitors toward another way to buy, such as contacting you, instead of leaving an empty space on the product page.
Will I have to rebuild my store when I want to start selling online?
No. The plugin lets you toggle between catalog mode and full store functionality. Your products stay in WooCommerce the whole time, so turning online sales back on is a settings change rather than a rebuild.
Does this plugin need WooCommerce?
Yes. Catalog Visibility Options is an extension for WooCommerce and works with your existing WooCommerce products, cart and checkout, so WooCommerce must be active on your site.
Is Catalog Visibility Options free?
The code of Catalog Visibility Options is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Catalog Visibility Options is this?
Version 3.3.14, released Aug 29, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Catalog Visibility Options?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Catalog Visibility Options automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Catalog Visibility Options need?
Catalog Visibility Options needs WooCommerce installed and active.
