What it does
Some products are really a set of choices: a custom computer, a skateboard, a gift box, a meal plan or a piece of made-to-order jewelry. Listing every possible combination as its own product quickly gets out of hand. This plugin solves that by letting you define a single composite product made of components, where each component draws its options from products you already sell. Shoppers move through the configuration and pick what they want, and the result is added to the cart as one item.
It works inside WooCommerce and accepts simple, variable, bundle, downloadable and virtual products as components. You can show or hide whole steps or single options based on earlier choices, pick from several layouts and option styles, and add pagination, sorting and filtering when a component has many options. Stock is tracked across components, and pricing and shipping can follow the selections. Developers get a REST API plus hooks and filters, and it works with WooCommerce Subscriptions, Product Bundles, AutomateWoo, ShipStation and the Cart and Checkout blocks.
Best for
- WooCommerce stores selling custom computers or built-to-order gear
- Shops offering gift boxes, meal plans or mix and match sets
- Agencies building product configurators for WooCommerce clients
Features
Combine multiple items already in your catalog into a single configurable package that customers assemble by choosing an option for each component.
Use simple, variable, bundle, downloadable and virtual products as component options, so complex offerings can mix physical goods and digital items.
Show or hide entire configuration steps or individual options depending on what the customer has already selected, keeping irrelevant choices out of the way.
Choose from several layouts and option styles to control how the configuration process looks and flows on the product page.
Handle components with large numbers of options by letting customers page through, sort and filter them to find what they need.
Stock levels are managed across every component in a composite product, which helps prevent selling items you no longer have.
Set pricing rules and shipping preferences that respond to the components a customer chooses in their configuration.
Developers can adapt the plugin to project needs through its REST API and a wide set of hooks and filters.

Questions about Composite Products
Do I need WooCommerce to use this plugin?
Yes. It extends WooCommerce and builds composite products from items in your WooCommerce catalog, so WooCommerce must be running on the site.
Can options change depending on what a customer picks?
Yes. Conditional logic lets you control the visibility of whole configuration steps or individual options based on the customer's earlier selections, so each shopper only sees choices that make sense for their build.
Does it keep track of stock for each component?
It does. Inventory is managed across all composite components, so stock for each chosen item is accounted for and you are less likely to oversell a part used in several kits.
Will it work with other WooCommerce extensions?
The plugin is compatible with WooCommerce Subscriptions, Product Bundles, AutomateWoo and ShipStation, as well as the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks. Bundle products can also be used as components.
Is Composite Products free?
The code of Composite Products is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Composite Products is this?
Version 11.1.2, released Sep 2, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Composite Products?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Composite Products automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Composite Products need?
Composite Products needs WooCommerce installed and active.
