What it does
Customers often realize after checkout that they need a different quantity, another product or a corrected address. Without a way to fix it themselves, they email the store, cancel the order or place a new one. This plugin adds an Edit Order button to the order history on the My Account page, so shoppers can make those changes on their own before the order moves too far along. It requires WooCommerce and works inside the standard customer account area.
You decide how much freedom customers get. Editing can be allowed or blocked based on the order status and the customer's user role, and you can choose which billing and shipping fields stay locked, such as zip code or country. When a customer edits an order, it moves to on-hold and an email goes to the store admin, so someone can review the changes before processing continues. This suits B2B stores and shops handling large or complex orders.
Best for
- WooCommerce stores that want fewer order change requests
- B2B shops where buyers adjust orders before payment
- Stores handling large, bulk or complex orders

Customers can switch to a different payment or shipping method on an existing order without reaching out to the store.

Questions about Edit Order by Customer
Can customers edit an order after it has shipped?
Only if you allow it. Editing is controlled by order status, so you can limit it to statuses such as pending payment or on-hold and block it for orders that are further along in processing.
Can I stop customers from changing certain address fields?
Yes. You can choose which billing and shipping fields are editable. That lets customers fix details like a street address while keeping fields such as zip code or country locked.
How will I know when a customer changes an order?
The plugin sends an automatic email to store administrators when an order is edited. The edited order is also moved to on-hold status so you can review the changes before processing it.
Can wholesale customers have different editing rights than retail shoppers?
Yes. Editing permissions can be set by user role, so one customer group can be allowed to change products and methods while another gets more limited options or none at all.
Is Edit Order by Customer free?
The code of Edit Order by Customer is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
