What it does
Selling ads directly usually means juggling email, manual invoices and hand-placed banner code. This add-on brings that work into WordPress. You set up ad zones, choose how each one is priced (by impressions, clicks or time) and let advertisers buy space on their own. Payments and invoices run through the GetPaid core plugin, so the transaction side is handled inside the same system. You can also moderate ads before they go live, which keeps you in control of what appears on your pages.
Ad formats include plain text ads for small spaces, image banners and HTML ads that can carry JavaScript ad codes such as Google AdSense. Zones can be placed with automatic rules, shortcodes or blocks, or template code snippets. On directory sites built with GeoDirectory and its Pricing Manager, you can also sell listing ads that appear prominently within search results. It suits blogs, online publications, business sites and local directories that want a structured way to sell and manage advertising.
Best for
- Bloggers selling banner or text ad space

- Local business directories built with GeoDirectory

Advertisers get their own interface to create, edit and monitor their ads, with performance reports and statistics for each campaign they run.

Questions about GetPaid Advertising
What other plugin do I need for this to work?
It is an add-on for the GetPaid core plugin, which handles the payments, transactions and invoicing for ad sales. GeoDirectory and its Pricing Manager are only needed if you want to sell listing ads within directory search results.
Can I show Google AdSense ads along with ads I sell myself?
Yes. HTML ads can hold JavaScript-based ad codes such as Google AdSense, so you can place network ads in your zones next to hosted text and image ads sold directly to advertisers.
How do I control where ads appear on my pages?
You create ad zones and place them with automatic rules, with shortcodes or blocks, or with template code snippets. This lets you put ads in content areas, sidebars or specific parts of your theme layout.
Do I get to approve ads before they appear?
Yes. Ad moderation lets you review submitted ads before they go live. Advertisers create and edit their ads from their own dashboard, and you decide what gets published on your site.
Is GetPaid Advertising free?
The code of GetPaid Advertising is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of GetPaid Advertising is this?
Version 1.2.10, released Sep 17, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update GetPaid Advertising?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GetPaid Advertising automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does GetPaid Advertising need?
GetPaid Advertising needs GetPaid installed and active.
