What it does
Many stores try to handle gift cards with ordinary coupons, which makes balances and accounting hard to follow. This plugin treats gift cards as prepaid payment methods instead. Each card carries a balance that drops as the recipient spends it, and every issue, use and expiration is logged. That gives you a clear record of what has been sold, what has been redeemed and what is still outstanding, which helps with bookkeeping.
On the shopping side, customers pick a simple or variable gift card product, write a message, choose a delivery date and enter one or more recipients in a single purchase. Recipients can save cards to their accounts, check balances and apply them at checkout. In the admin, you can search and edit issued cards by code, sender or recipient, pull reports, and import or export codes in bulk. It requires WooCommerce.

How is this different from using WooCommerce coupons as gift cards?
Gift cards here work as prepaid payment methods with their own balances. Each card is tracked through transaction logs, and reports show issued, used and expired amounts, so accounting stays accurate in a way that coupon codes alone do not provide.
Can customers choose when the gift card is delivered?
Yes. Buyers can pick a custom delivery date and add a personal message, so the card reaches the recipient on the right day. They can also send cards to multiple recipients in a single purchase.
Can buyers enter their own gift card amount?
Yes, when used together with the Name Your Price extension, customers can set a custom amount. Without it, you can still offer different amounts through variable gift card products.
