What it does

Online courses can feel quiet and solitary, and learners often drift away before they finish. This add-on gives you a way to recognize progress as it happens. You create badges, attach them to triggers such as course enrollment, quiz passing or failing, assignment approval or essay grading, and the plugin awards them automatically along with points. Learners see an on-screen popup when they earn something, so each milestone gets a visible moment of recognition.

Rewards can also reach beyond course material. You can set badges for site-wide actions like registering, logging in, commenting, posting and visiting pages, which encourages people to take part in the wider community around your courses. To display results, the plugin includes a My Achievements block for each learner's badges and a Leaderboard block that lists top achievers and points leaders. It appears inside the LearnDash admin under Add-Ons, so it sits alongside the tools you already use.

Best for

  • LearnDash course creators who want to reward learner progress
  • Training organizations running online courses on WordPress
  • Universities and schools adding gamification to eLearning
