What it does
A plain list of courses gets hard to scan once a library grows past a handful of titles. This addon arranges LearnDash courses into a grid instead, with a choice of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 12 columns. Each card can show the featured image, a custom short description, the course price and the learner's progress, so people can compare options at a glance without opening every course page.
The grid is placed with shortcodes, and shortcode parameters let you set columns, limit the grid to certain categories and turn progress bars on or off without writing code. You can add a category filter selector, build pages such as a learner profile that lists enrolled courses, and write summaries in a dedicated short description field on the course edit page. It works with your existing LearnDash course data and settings.
Best for
- LearnDash sites with a growing course catalog
- Training organizations offering many courses across categories
- Online educators building learner profile or dashboard pages
Features
Display courses in a responsive grid of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 12 columns, so the layout adapts to different screen sizes and page designs.
Add a filter that lets visitors narrow the grid by course category, which makes larger course libraries easier to browse.
Each course card shows its featured image next to a short description, giving learners a quick sense of what the course covers.
The course price appears automatically on each card, so visitors can see what a course costs before clicking through to its page.
Show each learner's progress directly on the course cards, giving enrolled students a visual way to track where they stand.
Embed a course grid on any page or post with a shortcode, and adjust columns, categories and progress bars through parameters instead of code.
Build personalized pages, such as a user profile, that list a learner's enrolled courses in a tidy grid.
A dedicated field on the course edit page lets you write a concise summary that appears in the grid for that course.

Questions about LearnDash LMS Course Grid
Does this work without LearnDash?
No. It is an addon designed specifically for the LearnDash learning management system. It reads your existing LearnDash course data and settings and changes how those courses are displayed, so you need LearnDash running on your site.
Can I show only courses from certain categories?
Yes. The shortcode accepts parameters for categories, so you can limit a grid to specific course categories. You can also add a category filter selector that lets visitors narrow the grid themselves while browsing.
Can students see their progress in the grid?
Yes. The grid can display a progress bar on each course card for the logged-in learner. You can turn progress bars on or off through shortcode parameters, and you can build pages such as profiles that list a learner's enrolled courses.
Do I need to write code to set up a grid?
No. You place the grid with a shortcode on any page or post, and parameters control the number of columns, the categories shown and whether progress bars appear. Course summaries are entered in a field on the course edit page.
