What it does
If you manage a group of WordPress sites, finding out a site is down from a client or visitor is the worst way to learn about it. This extension adds uptime monitoring to your MainWP Dashboard, so you can see the status of all your connected Child Sites in one place. It runs checks every 5 minutes around the clock, and when a site fails a check, it runs follow-up checks within 3 minutes to confirm the problem before sending an alert. That confirmation step helps cut down on false alarms.
The extension is self-hosted, so monitoring is handled inside your own WordPress environment instead of relying only on a third-party platform. If you already use an outside monitoring service, you can connect Uptime Robot, NodePing, Site24x7 or Better Uptime and work with those monitors from your Dashboard, including creating, editing and deleting them. Email alerts can be set per Child Site, which lets you route notifications to the people responsible for each one. It requires the MainWP plugin and fits naturally into an existing MainWP setup.
Best for
- Agencies managing many client WordPress sites through MainWP
- Freelancers who maintain WordPress sites for several clients
- Site managers already using Uptime Robot or NodePing
Features
Your connected Child Sites are checked every 5 minutes, day and night, so outages are spotted soon after they start.
When a check fails, follow-up checks run within 3 minutes to confirm the site is really down before any alert goes out.
Configure email notifications separately for each Child Site so the right team member hears about the problem with that specific site.
See the uptime status of all connected Child Sites from your single MainWP Dashboard instead of logging into separate tools.
Connect Uptime Robot, NodePing, Site24x7 or Better Uptime and use their monitoring from within your MainWP Dashboard.
Create, edit, duplicate and delete monitors for connected providers, with handling for API errors, rate limits and missing data.
Run uptime monitoring from your own WordPress environment, keeping monitoring data under your control rather than depending solely on outside platforms.
