What it does
Google Analytics holds a lot of useful data, but its interface can be hard to read and setting up tracking often means editing code. This plugin handles the connection for you through a guided setup wizard, then shows live, easy-to-read reports inside the WordPress dashboard. You can check traffic sources, visitor behavior and campaign results without leaving your site, and page-level insights are available from the editor sidebar, the admin bar and the classic editor metabox.
The add-ons extend tracking past basic page views. The eCommerce add-on reports on sales, popular products and customer behavior, while form conversion tracking measures submissions from forms such as those built with Contact Form 7, Jotform or WPForms. Custom event tracking records link clicks, downloads and video plays, and audience reports cover demographics, interests and devices. Privacy features help keep your setup aligned with GDPR, which makes it a practical fit for blogs, business sites and online stores.

Questions about MonsterInsights Pro
Do I need coding skills to set up Google Analytics with this plugin?
No. A setup wizard walks you through connecting your site to Google Analytics with guided configuration, and tracking starts without you adding code to your theme or pages.
Can it track form submissions from the form plugin I already use?
Yes. Form conversion tracking monitors submissions to measure leads, and it recognizes form plugins such as Contact Form 7 and Jotform, so sites using those are not pushed to switch to WPForms.
Will it work on a WordPress multisite network?
Subsites on a network setup can connect to Google Analytics. Saving Google settings keeps each site's working connection intact rather than replacing it with another site's credentials.
Does it help with privacy rules like GDPR?
It includes built-in features that help your analytics setup respect user privacy and regulatory standards such as GDPR. You should still review your own privacy obligations for your site and region.
Is MonsterInsights Pro free?
The code of MonsterInsights Pro is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of MonsterInsights Pro is this?
Version 11.3.0, released Sep 16, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update MonsterInsights Pro?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of MonsterInsights Pro automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
