What’s new in Role Based Pricing 2.2.4
- FixedFixed an issue with admin order total recalculation when no role-based pricing rules were configured for a product.
What it does
Many stores sell to more than one kind of buyer. Wholesale customers expect lower prices, loyal customers may earn a discount, and guests sometimes should not see prices at all. WooCommerce on its own shows one price to everyone. This plugin adds a rule system so each role or customer can see a different price, set as a fixed amount or as a markup or discount in a fixed value or percentage.
Rules can target selected products or entire categories, so you can change many prices at once instead of editing each product by hand. Each rule can carry minimum and maximum order quantities, start and end dates, and settings for how discounts interact with sale prices. Product variations are supported, and rules can be moved in and out with CSV import and export. It requires WooCommerce.
Best for
- Wholesale and B2B WooCommerce stores
- Shops offering discounts to loyal or registered customers
- Stores that hide prices from guests until login
Features
Assign custom prices to specific user roles or to individual customers, so different groups of shoppers see pricing that matches their tier or agreement.
Set a fixed product price or adjust the existing price up or down by a fixed amount or a percentage, depending on the rule.
Create rules that apply to selected products or entire product categories, so large price changes happen in one place without repeated manual edits.
Move role-based pricing rules in and out of the store with CSV files, which helps with bulk updates and keeping backups of your pricing.
Attach minimum and maximum order quantities to each pricing rule to encourage bulk purchases or keep buyers from ordering more than you allow.
Hide prices, add-to-cart buttons or both for guests and chosen user roles, and show custom text and links in their place.
Give each rule a start and end date so limited-time offers begin and end on their own without you changing prices by hand.
Show the original price struck through next to the special price, or replace the original when a rule raises the price.

Questions about Role Based Pricing
Can I give one specific customer their own prices?
Yes. Along with user roles, the plugin lets you set pricing for individual customers. You can give them a fixed price or apply a markup or discount by a fixed amount or percentage on chosen products or categories.
Does it work with variable products?
It does. The plugin supports product variations, so each variation can have its own pricing structure based on user role or individual customer, the same way simple products can.
How are role discounts handled for products already on sale?
You can choose whether role-based discounts apply to the regular price or the sale price. There is also an option to exclude on-sale products from extra discounts, so items already marked down are not reduced further.
Can guests be prevented from seeing prices?
Yes. You can hide the price, the add-to-cart button or both for visitors who are not logged in and for specific user roles. A custom message and link can appear instead, for example pointing guests to a registration page.
