Split Orders

by WooCommerce woocommerce.com v1.8.5 Unlimited sites

WooCommerce Split Orders is a plugin by WooCommerce that lets you divide a single customer order into multiple separate orders. Each new order can then be processed and shipped on its own, which helps when some items are ready and others are not.

  • ImprovedWC 10.7 compatibility

What it does

Large or mixed orders often cause problems for a store. One product might be on backorder, another might only be partly in stock, and some items might need to go out with a different courier. When everything sits in one order, you either hold the whole shipment or track the pieces by hand. This plugin gives you a way to break that order apart so the available items can ship while the rest waits.

It works inside your existing WooCommerce setup, which it requires. From the order, you pick how many units of each product to move into a new order. The split order keeps the original billing and shipping details, so you do not have to re-enter customer information. You can also use splits to send items to different addresses when a customer asks, and attach separate courier tracking to each resulting order.

Best for

  • WooCommerce stores that regularly handle backorders
  • Shops shipping items with different couriers
  • Stores whose customers request delivery to several addresses

Features

Split one order into several

Shipping to multiple addresses

Split an order to send different items to different addresses when a customer requests delivery to more than one location.

Separate tracking per order

Attach different courier tracking information to each split order so customers can follow every shipment on its own.

Fits standard WooCommerce workflows

Designed to work alongside your existing WooCommerce order processes and extensions, so your current fulfillment routine stays in place.

Questions about Split Orders

Can I split only some units of a product into a new order?

Yes. When you split an order you choose the quantity of each product to move into the new order. For example, you can ship the units you have in stock now and keep the remaining units in a separate order for later.

Will I have to re-enter the customer's address on the split order?

No. Each split order keeps the original billing and shipping details from the customer's order. That keeps the records consistent and saves you from copying information between orders manually.

Can each split order have its own tracking number?

Yes. You can attach different courier tracking information to each split order, which is useful when parts of the purchase leave at different times or travel with different carriers.

Does this plugin need WooCommerce?

Yes, it requires WooCommerce. It is built to work within standard WooCommerce order workflows and alongside your existing extensions, adding order splitting to the order management you already use.

Is Split Orders free?

The code of Split Orders is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Split Orders is this?

Version 1.8.5, released May 5, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Split Orders?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Split Orders automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does Split Orders need?

Split Orders needs WooCommerce installed and active.
