What it does
Selling courses means you need a reliable checkout, and building one from scratch takes time most course creators would rather spend teaching. This plugin links your LearnDash site to Stripe through Stripe Connect, so learners can pay by credit card right on your site. You can connect an existing Stripe account, or create a new one during setup from inside the interface. A setup wizard walks you through connecting Stripe and configuring your payment settings, and no coding is needed.
Once connected, the integration works alongside LearnDash features such as course enrollment, group management, membership access and coupons. LearnDash attempts to configure Stripe webhooks automatically, which keeps payment confirmations, subscription events and refunds synced with your users' course access. You can run transactions in Test Mode with simulated payments before switching to Live Mode, and Stripe's test clocks let you simulate subscription billing cycles. It also works with the LearnDash global default currency setting and accepts multiple currencies.

Do I need a Stripe account before I set this up?
No. You can connect an existing Stripe account, or create a new one during setup from within the interface. The setup wizard then guides you through connecting Stripe and configuring your payment settings.
Can I test payments before charging real customers?
Yes. Test Mode lets you run simulated payments so you can check your workflow without handling real money. For subscriptions, Stripe's test clocks let you simulate billing cycles. When everything works, you switch to Live Mode.
Will course access update when a payment is refunded?
LearnDash attempts to configure Stripe webhooks automatically. These webhooks pass along payment confirmations, subscription events and refunds, which keeps your courses and user statuses synced with what happens in Stripe.
