Subaccounts
Subaccounts & Multi-User Accounts is a WooCommerce extension by WooCommerce that lets one customer account hold several users. The main account holder creates subaccounts for colleagues or family members and decides what each person can do, from placing orders to only preparing shopping lists for approval.

What it does
Business buyers rarely shop alone. A company may have several employees, branches or departments that handle purchasing, yet a standard WooCommerce account belongs to one person. This plugin solves that by letting a master account create subaccounts underneath it. Each subaccount gets its own login and contact details, such as name, title and phone number, while orders and activity stay connected to the parent account. Store owners can also assign subaccounts from the admin backend.
Permissions are set per user. The main account can allow a subaccount to place orders, view orders, create shopping lists or simply browse account details. Users without checkout rights can save their cart as a shopping list, which the master account reviews and buys. The account owner can also see which user placed each order or created each list. It works with standard WooCommerce workflows and fits wholesale and B2B stores, including those using related modules such as Wholesale Prices, Tiered Pricing and Invoice Payment Gateways.
Best for
- WooCommerce stores selling to wholesale and B2B buyers
- Companies with several branches or purchasing staff
- Teams or families sharing one shopping account
Features
Several team members can access one company account, each with their own subaccount, so purchasing work can be shared without passing around a single login.
Set what each subaccount may do, including placing orders, viewing orders, creating shopping lists or only browsing account details.
Subaccounts without checkout rights can save carts as shopping lists, which the master account reviews and purchases when ready.
The main account can create, edit and manage subaccounts, including updating each user's name, title and phone number.
See which subaccount user placed a given order or created a shopping list, giving the account owner a clear record of who did what.
Store administrators have tools in the backend to assign subaccounts to accounts, which helps when setting up customers on their behalf.
Pairs with related wholesale modules such as Wholesale Prices, Tiered Pricing and Invoice Payment Gateways to build out a wholesale store.

Questions about Subaccounts
Can I stop some users from checking out?
Yes. Permissions are set for each subaccount. A user without ordering rights can still build a cart and save it as a shopping list, and the master account can then review that list and complete the purchase.
Will I know which employee placed an order?
Yes. The main account can see which subaccount user placed each order and which user created each shopping list, so purchasing activity stays transparent across the team.
Does it need WooCommerce?
Yes. This is a WooCommerce extension and requires WooCommerce to be active. It follows standard WooCommerce workflows, so subaccounts shop and check out the way regular customers do, within the limits of their permissions.
Can store admins set up subaccounts for customers?
Yes. Along with the main account holder managing their own subaccounts from the front end, there are tools in the admin backend that let you assign subaccounts to customer accounts directly.
Is Subaccounts free?
The code of Subaccounts is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Subaccounts is this?
Version 1.2.5, released Sep 8, 2023. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Subaccounts?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Subaccounts automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Subaccounts need?
Subaccounts needs WooCommerce installed and active.
