What it does
Many products come with paperwork that customers want to see before they buy: sizing charts, assembly steps, spec sheets, warranty terms. When that information lives only in a box or an email inbox, shoppers end up asking questions or leaving the page. This plugin puts those files on the product page itself, so the details are available at any time, and you can skip printing manuals for products where an online copy does the job.
Everything is managed from the product edit screen under Product Data. You create a menu, add sections, then upload files of any type or link to outside URLs such as YouTube tutorials or manufacturer pages. Documents appear in accordion menus below the short description by default, and you can also show them in a sidebar widget or place them anywhere with a shortcode. It works with WooCommerce, which it requires, and it also fits with WooCommerce Tab Manager if you prefer custom product tabs.
Best for
- WooCommerce stores selling electronics, furniture or other technical products
- Shops that want to replace printed manuals with online copies
- Store owners tired of answering the same product spec questions
Features
Attach PDFs, images, videos, user manuals or any other file to a product so shoppers can open or save it straight from the product page.
Add links to outside URLs such as YouTube tutorials or manufacturer specification pages alongside your uploaded files in the same document menu.
Group several documents and videos into collapsible accordion sections, which keeps product pages tidy even when a product has many files attached.
Rename document menus, sections and individual files so labels match your store's wording and shoppers can tell at a glance what each file contains.
Show product documents in a sidebar widget that changes automatically to display the files for whichever product the visitor is currently viewing.
Place a product's document menu inside blog posts, custom pages or other product pages using a shortcode, so the same files can appear in several places.
Add menus, sections and files from the Product Data area of the product edit screen, right where you already manage the rest of the product's details.
Pairs with WooCommerce Tab Manager so you can place documents inside custom product tabs instead of the default spot below the short description.

Questions about WooCommerce Product Documents
What kinds of files can I attach to a product?
You can upload any file type, including PDFs, images, videos and user manuals. You can also add links to external URLs, such as a YouTube tutorial or a specification page hosted by the manufacturer, and list them in the same menu as your uploaded files.
Where do the documents show up on my site?
By default they appear in an accordion menu below the product's short description. You can also display them in a sidebar widget that adapts to the product being viewed, or embed a document menu in posts, pages or other products with a shortcode.
Can I organize several documents for one product?
Yes. Each product can have a document menu with multiple sections, and those sections are displayed as accordion tabs. You can rename the menu, the sections and each file so shoppers can quickly find the manual, warranty sheet or video they need.
Does it need WooCommerce or any other plugin?
It requires WooCommerce, since it adds documents to WooCommerce product pages. WooCommerce Tab Manager is optional: if you use it, you can place your documents inside custom product tabs for a different layout on the front end.
Is WooCommerce Product Documents free?

Which version of WooCommerce Product Documents is this?
Version 1.15.5, released Sep 2, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
