What it does
When a store carries many similar items, shoppers often open several tabs and flip between product pages to work out the differences. This extension gives them a single place to do that. Customers add products to a comparison list as they browse, and the plugin builds a side-by-side table showing price, rating, stock availability and description for each item. Products they have already viewed are kept on hand, so they can add them to the comparison later in the same browsing session.
The comparison option can appear on category and shop pages and in other spots across the store, so customers can collect items from different pages without losing track of their picks. The interface is responsive, giving desktop and mobile visitors the same layout. On the technical side, the plugin supports high performance order storage (HPOS) and loads its translations from a bundled languages folder, with translations included for a variety of languages.
