What it does
Tracking ecommerce activity across several analytics tools usually means adding scripts and event code for each one. This plugin gives you a single connection instead. Once you add your Segment API key, it records common WooCommerce and WordPress actions such as product views, items added to or removed from the cart, orders placed and user registrations. You don't have to edit theme files, PHP, HTML, JavaScript or CSS to get that data flowing.
Segment acts as a relay, so the events this plugin collects can be passed to more than 40 analytics and marketing platforms, including Google Analytics, Mixpanel, HubSpot and Klaviyo. That makes it easier to try or switch providers without rebuilding your tracking. Developers can extend the tracking to other plugins, such as WooCommerce Subscriptions.
