What it does
Building a site for a software product or tech service usually means piecing together product pages, service descriptions and contact points that all look consistent. This theme starts you with pre-built demo content made for that kind of business, so you can import a demo and replace the text and images with your own. The layout is responsive, adjusting to desktops, tablets and phones, and the drag-and-drop page builder lets you rearrange sections without touching code.
The theme also works with plugins many tech sites already rely on. WooCommerce compatibility means you can sell software licenses, subscriptions or other digital products from the same site. Contact Form 7 handles contact and subscription forms, and WPML support lets you translate the site into multiple languages. Typography and color options help you match fonts and colors to your brand, and the code includes schema markup.
Best for
- Software companies presenting apps or SaaS platforms

Questions about Softgen
Can I sell software or subscriptions with this theme?
Yes. The theme is compatible with WooCommerce, which you can use to sell software licenses, subscriptions or other digital products directly from your site. The store pages then share the same design as the rest of your website.
Do I need coding skills to customize the layout?
No. Softgen includes a drag-and-drop page builder for arranging page layouts and content visually. You can also change fonts and colors through the typography and color options to match your brand without editing code.
Will it work for a site in more than one language?
Yes. The theme supports WPML, a translation plugin that lets you publish your site in multiple languages. This suits software and tech businesses that serve customers in several countries.
Is there a starting design I can build from?
The theme comes with pre-built demo content that you can import and then customize. Swapping in your own text, images and branding is usually faster than designing every page of a software or technology site from scratch.
Is Softgen free?
The code of Softgen is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Softgen is this?
Version 1.0.6, released Aug 3, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Softgen?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Softgen automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
