What it does
Google News expects a special sitemap format that lists only recent articles, and keeping one accurate by hand is tedious work. AIOSEO News Sitemap handles it for you. It generates the news sitemap in real time and includes only articles published within the last 48 hours, which matches the Google News guidelines. The sitemap is virtual, created on the fly when requested, so no physical files pile up on your server.
You decide what goes into the sitemap. Toggles let you choose which post types are included and exclude specific articles, and the plugin respects exclusion rules such as terms set under the sitemap advanced settings and post types set to no index. You can also set the publication name that represents your site. It works as part of the All in One SEO suite, and it is built with Google Publisher Center in mind.
