What it does
On a standard BuddyPress site, new members have to find an activation email and click a link before they can use their account. Those emails can arrive late, land in spam or never show up, and some people give up before finishing. This plugin skips that step. When someone registers, their account is activated right away, they are logged in automatically and no activation email is sent, so fewer people get stuck partway through signing up.
The plugin hooks into the existing BuddyPress registration workflow and works without a settings screen. It requires BuddyPress and runs on standard WordPress and Multisite installs, covering both username-only and username-with-blog signups. Site owners can set role-based redirects after login, and developers can use filter hooks to turn off auto activation in certain cases or adjust how activation and login behave. It also works with the Gravity Forms Registration addon and the Force Login With Email plugin.
