What it does
A BuddyBoss community runs on member activity, and the core platform only covers so much. This plugin fills in features that community owners often want next: a place to share files inside groups, video in posts and discussions, polls for quick feedback, and emoji reactions so members can respond without writing a full comment. Each feature arrives as a module, so you can add these tools to the community you already have instead of piecing together separate plugins for each one.
The modules cover several parts of running a community. Group Subscriptions let you offer paid group memberships with exclusive content and access for paying members. Social Login lets people register and sign in with their social media accounts, and Pinned Posts keep announcements at the top of feeds. Giphy adds GIFs to conversations. It suits membership sites, social networks and niche communities built on the BuddyBoss Platform, where members share files, media and opinions with each other.

Questions about BuddyBoss Addons
Does this work without the BuddyBoss Platform?
No. The plugin is built as an extension of the BuddyBoss Platform, and its modules add features to a BuddyBoss powered community. You need the BuddyBoss Platform running on your site for these documents, video, polls and other modules to have a home.
Can I charge members for access to certain groups?
Yes. The Group Subscriptions module lets you set up premium group memberships. Paying members get access to those groups and the exclusive content inside them, which gives you a way to offer paid tiers within your community.
Can group members share files with each other?
Yes. The Documents module lets members upload and share files within groups and communities. Documents can be kept in group folders, and members can move documents into a group folder that another member created.
What options do members have for interacting with posts?
Members can react to posts and comments with emoji reactions, add GIFs through the Giphy integration, vote in polls and embed video in posts and discussions. Admins can also pin important posts to the top of feeds.
Is BuddyBoss Addons free?
The code of BuddyBoss Addons is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of BuddyBoss Addons is this?
Version 1.2.2, released Oct 13, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update BuddyBoss Addons?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of BuddyBoss Addons automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
