What it does
Recognizing active members, moderators or special groups in a BuddyPress community usually means adding notes to profiles or building something custom. This plugin gives administrators a dedicated place to create badges with their own icons and attach them to users. Badges can mark achievements, roles or special statuses, and you can name them however suits your community, from "Star Contributor" to "Best Athlete". Members then see those badges next to names across the site.
Badges can be handed out one user at a time, or granted automatically to everyone in a specific WordPress role or BuddyPress member type. You decide where badges appear, whether they sit before or after usernames, and in what order they display. Shortcodes let you list users by badge, role or member type on any page, and badges can be switched off and back on without losing their history. The plugin requires BuddyPress.
Best for
- BuddyPress community sites that reward active members
- Sites using member types or roles to group users
- Clubs, teams and groups that want visible member recognition
