What it does
Some customers would rather mail a cheque than enter card details online, and some organizations require it for their own accounting. If your site uses GetPaid for invoices and checkout, this add-on gives those customers a payment method they already know. It sits alongside your other GetPaid gateways, so people who want to pay online can keep doing so while others choose the cheque option instead.
The workflow is simple. A customer selects pay by check at checkout and sees the instructions you have written, such as who to make the cheque out to and where to send it. The invoice stays open until you receive and deposit the payment. At that point you mark the invoice as paid by hand, which keeps your records accurate. Setup happens inside your existing GetPaid configuration and needs no coding.

Does this work without GetPaid?
No. It is an add-on for the GetPaid invoicing plugin and adds a new payment gateway to it. You need GetPaid running on your WordPress site for the cheque option to appear at checkout.
How do I know when a customer has paid?
The plugin does not verify cheques automatically. When the cheque arrives and you have deposited it, you open the invoice in GetPaid and mark it as paid manually. This keeps your records based on money that has actually cleared.
Can I tell customers where to send their cheque?
Yes. You can provide payment instructions that customers see after choosing pay by check, such as the payee name and mailing address, so they know exactly how to complete the payment.
Can I offer cheque payments alongside card or online gateways?
