You decide what a birthday is worth, such as 100 points every year, and the add-on hands out that reward when the date arrives. You can also set up rewards tied to specific ages, like an achievement that marks a user's 18th birthday.
Birthdates can come from BuddyPress and BuddyBoss profile fields, so if your members already fill those in, the add-on can read the information from there. Background processing means rewards are awarded even when a user does not log in on their birthday.
