What it does
In a standard gamification setup, rewards stay with a user forever once earned. That works for some sites, but it can lead to inflated point balances and challenges that lose their meaning over time. This add-on adds an end date to your gamification elements, so users have a reason to stay active and earn rewards again. It suits seasonal campaigns, limited-time challenges and any system where you want participation to stay current.
The add-on works with the GamiPress core plugin, which it requires. For each item you choose between a specific calendar date or a relative period measured in hours, days or weeks after the user earns it. Expirations can be applied separately to points, achievements, ranks and requirements. Once set, items expire automatically without manual work, and users can be notified when a reward is close to expiring or has already expired.
