What it does
If you sell to people in different countries, a single currency can make checkout confusing for buyers who have to work out the conversion themselves. This addon adds multi-currency support to GetPaid so customers can see and pay amounts in a currency that makes sense to them. You decide which currencies are available, so you can offer only the ones that match the markets you actually serve.
Customers can choose a currency in two ways: through an optional payment field at checkout, or by setting a global preference with a widget or block that applies across the whole site. Exchange rates update automatically through API services, and you can also set rates by hand when you want more control. Every invoice and receipt shows the currency used, which keeps your records clear for you and your customers.
Best for
- GetPaid stores selling to international customers
- Service businesses invoicing clients in other countries
- Site owners who want control over exchange rates
Features
An optional payment field lets customers pick the currency they want to pay in while completing checkout, without leaving the payment form.
Customers can set a preferred currency for the whole site using a widget or block, so prices stay consistent as they move between pages.
A dedicated switcher widget lets visitors toggle between the currencies you offer from anywhere you place it on your site.
Conversion rates update automatically through API services, so you do not need to enter every rate change yourself to keep prices current.
You can override conversion rates by hand, which is useful when you want to set your own rates for a market or respond to fluctuations.
Invoices and receipts automatically show the currency the customer paid in, giving both sides a clear record of each transaction.
Add only the currencies you want to support, keeping the options focused on the specific international markets you sell to.

Questions about Multi-Currency
Does this work on its own or do I need GetPaid?
It is an addon for the GetPaid payment system, so it extends an existing GetPaid setup. It adds multi-currency options to GetPaid checkout, invoices and receipts rather than working as a standalone payment tool.
Can customers pick their own currency?
Yes. They can choose a currency through an optional field at checkout, or set a global preference with a widget or block that applies across your site. There is also a currency switcher widget for quick toggling.
Do I have to update exchange rates myself?
No. Rates update automatically through API services. If you prefer specific rates, you can adjust them manually, so you can mix automation with your own control when it suits your business.
Will invoices show which currency was used?
Yes. Invoices and receipts automatically display the currency the customer used for payment, which keeps your transaction records clear and easy to understand for both you and your customers.
Is Multi-Currency free?
The code of Multi-Currency is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Multi-Currency is this?
Version 2.0.2, released Jan 1, 2024. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Multi-Currency?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Multi-Currency automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Multi-Currency need?
Multi-Currency needs GetPaid installed and active.
