Getting a message in front of past visitors usually means waiting for them to come back or asking for an email address. This extension takes a different route through browser push notifications. A popup asks visitors whether they want to receive notifications from your site, using simple Allow and Disallow buttons. Anyone who accepts joins your subscriber list, and from then on you can reach them in their browser, even when they are not on your site.
Once you have subscribers, you create a push campaign by choosing an icon, writing the message text and adding an optional redirect URL that opens when someone clicks the notification. The opt-in popup can be styled to match your branding, so the request feels like part of your site. On the server side, the plugin relies on the PHP GMP extension, which your hosting provider can enable if it is not already active.
