What’s new in WP Adverts BuddyPress 1.2.2

What it does
Running a BuddyPress community and a classifieds section side by side often means members jump between two separate areas of the site to handle their listings. This add-on brings the two together. It connects WP Adverts to BuddyPress profiles, so each member's ads live alongside the rest of their profile activity. Posting a new ad, editing an old one or checking what they have listed all happens without leaving the profile area.
Ads are tied to the BuddyPress member who created them, which makes ownership clear to anyone browsing. The integration works with the core WP Adverts features you already use, such as categories, pricing, media uploads and ad management. You can adjust how ads appear on profile pages and group areas, and permissions from BuddyPress and WP Adverts control who can view, post or respond to ads. Developers can extend it further with hooks and filters.

Questions about WP Adverts BuddyPress
Do I need WP Adverts and BuddyPress for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on that connects the two, so it relies on both WP Adverts for the classifieds and BuddyPress for member profiles. It adds a bridge between them rather than replacing either one.
Can members manage their ads without leaving their profile?
Yes. Members can post new ads, edit existing ones and manage their listings from their own BuddyPress profile. Each ad is linked automatically to the member who posted it, which keeps ownership clear.
Will my existing WP Adverts categories and pricing still work?
The integration supports WP Adverts core features, including categories, pricing, media uploads and ad management, so those parts of your classifieds setup carry over into the BuddyPress side.
Can I control who sees or responds to ads?
Yes. Permission settings from BuddyPress and WP Adverts let you decide who can view ads, who can post them and who can respond, which helps keep the marketplace limited to the people you choose.
Is WP Adverts BuddyPress free?
The code of WP Adverts BuddyPress is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of WP Adverts BuddyPress is this?
Version 1.2.2, released Sep 19, 2025. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update WP Adverts BuddyPress?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of WP Adverts BuddyPress automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
