What it does
Getting data into WordPress is often slow work. Product catalogs, listings and user records usually arrive in spreadsheets or XML feeds that do not match how WordPress stores content. This plugin lets you import those files as they are, without restructuring them first. You pick the file, then drag its fields onto the matching WordPress fields, custom fields or taxonomies. It detects custom fields, image galleries, WooCommerce products and Advanced Custom Fields data, so content from other plugins and themes can be filled in too. It also handles large files, including imports of hundreds of megabytes.
Once an import is set up, scheduling options let it run again on a recurring basis, which suits feeds that change regularly. You can update specific fields on existing posts while leaving the rest untouched, or migrate a whole site while keeping relationships between data intact. The export side works in the other direction: send WordPress data to CSV, Excel or XML, edit it in bulk in a spreadsheet, then import the changes back. Developers get a backend API for building on top of the import process. WooCommerce is required.
