What it does
A store with dozens of categories and subcategories can end up with a sidebar list that runs far down the page. This plugin folds that list into accordion panels. Visitors see the top-level categories first and expand a panel to reach the subcategories inside it. You choose whether panels open on hover or on click, how many hierarchy levels appear, and whether product counts show next to each category. Empty categories can be hidden automatically, so shoppers never land in a section with nothing in it.
The accordion can hold more than product categories. You can display WordPress categories, tags or a custom menu with links to pages such as best sellers, top-rated products, discount offers or your shipping policy. Six accordion styles let you adjust borders, colors, typography and icons to match your theme, and panels can include category images or icons. Placement uses a widget or a shortcode. The plugin requires WooCommerce.

Does this work without WooCommerce?
No. The plugin requires WooCommerce. It can also display WordPress categories and tags alongside WooCommerce product categories, but WooCommerce needs to be active on the site.
Can I put the accordion somewhere other than the sidebar?
Yes. It comes with a widget and a shortcode, so you can place an accordion in a sidebar, a footer or inside the content of any page.
Can I control which categories appear?
Yes. You can choose which categories to display, exclude specific ones, sort and highlight items, set the number of hierarchy levels and hide empty categories automatically. Product counts can be shown or hidden.
