What it does
Some purchases are hard to pay for all at once, such as custom-tailored clothing, event rentals or personalized services. YITH Deposits and Down Payments adds a deposit option to your WooCommerce store so customers can reserve an item or service with a partial payment. You decide whether the deposit is a fixed amount or a percentage of the price, and whether it is optional or required. Rules can apply across the whole store or only to chosen products, categories and variations.
After the deposit is paid, you control how the balance is handled. You can set the balance to be due on a fixed calendar date or within a set period after the deposit. The plugin can create balance orders in WooCommerce automatically, or you can collect the remaining amount manually offline, which helps stores that also take payments in person. It also works with YITH Booking and Appointment, so appointments, hotel stays and other bookings can be secured with a deposit, with balance reminders set automatically.

No. It is a WooCommerce extension, so you need WooCommerce running on your site. The deposit options are added to your WooCommerce products and checkout, and balance orders are created inside WooCommerce.
