What it does
WooCommerce assigns order IDs from the same pool WordPress uses for posts and other content, so the numbers your customers see can jump around and leave gaps. That makes it harder to match orders with invoices, spot missing records or explain numbering to an accountant. This plugin swaps those IDs for a clean, progressive sequence, so each new order simply gets the next number in line and your records stay easy to sort and search.
You set where the sequence begins, which helps when you are moving from another system or want to line up with existing accounting records. Prefixes and suffixes let you shape the format to suit your branding or internal conventions. Free orders, or orders containing only free products, can use a separate numbering system so paid and unpaid transactions stay apart. If you also run YITH WooCommerce Request a Quote, quote requests can follow sequential numbering too. The plugin requires WooCommerce and is translation ready.
