What it does
Most online purchases are paid by card, so a store needs a checkout that takes cards reliably and keeps order records accurate. This plugin links your WooCommerce shop to Stripe and accepts all major credit cards. You decide how the payment form looks: a standard form, an embedded Stripe Elements form, or the hosted Stripe Checkout page. You also choose whether to charge customers right away at checkout or authorize the payment first and capture the funds later.
Beyond taking payments, the plugin helps with the work that comes after an order. Refunds can be processed from the WooCommerce order page, and webhooks keep payment status changes such as refunds and cancellations in sync between Stripe and your store. For fraud prevention, it can collect billing and shipping details to check card ownership and keep a blacklist of users with rejected payments. Shops selling recurring products can pair it with the YITH Subscription plugin.
