What it does
Many photographers want a site that puts their images first without a maze of menus and subpages. This theme handles that with a single-page layout where visitors scroll from section to section, starting with a fullscreen header that can show a background video or a high-resolution image. The layout is responsive and retina-ready, so photos stay sharp on desktops, tablets and phones, which matters when the work itself is the main content.
Editing happens in Elementor, the drag-and-drop page builder, so you can change sections and content without writing code. A one-click demo importer loads pre-made content to give you a starting point. The theme is also compatible with WooCommerce for selling prints or services, WPML for multilingual sites, and plugins such as Gravity Forms, bbPress, BuddyPress and Easy Digital Downloads, with documentation included for setup.

Questions about Nextex
Do I need to know how to code to customize this theme?
No. Nextex works with Elementor, a drag-and-drop page builder, so you can rearrange sections, change text and swap images visually. The one-click demo importer also gives you pre-made content to edit instead of starting from a blank page.
Can I use a video in the header instead of a photo?
Yes. The theme supports fullscreen backgrounds with either a video or a high-resolution image, so you can open the page with moving footage or a still shot depending on your work.
Can I sell prints from a site built with this theme?
Yes. The theme is compatible with WooCommerce, so you can set up a store to sell prints, services or digital products. It also works with Easy Digital Downloads if you only sell digital files.
Will my site work in more than one language?
The theme is WPML ready, which means you can use the WPML plugin to create translated versions of your pages and present your portfolio to visitors in different languages.
Is Nextex free?
The code of Nextex is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Nextex is this?
Version 1.7, released Aug 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Nextex?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Nextex automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
