- ImprovedAdded compatibility with WordPress 7.1.
- ImprovedTheme typography and layout now carry through to the block editor.
What it does
Content sites need more than a single post list. Readers want to find featured stories, browse by topic and move around without getting lost. This theme covers those needs with a featured posts section, category filters, multiple homepage and archive layouts, and a choice of page header types. You can also keep featured posts out of the main archive so the same story does not appear twice on a page.
You start from one of the nine bundled demos and adjust it to fit your brand. Smart colors come with an instant live preview, Google Fonts provide typography choices, and the theme's typography and layout carry through to the block editor. It works with Elementor, Elementor Pro and Gutenberg, includes AMP support and RTL language support, and handles multi-author posts and guest authors through the Co-Authors Plus plugin.
Best for
- Lifestyle bloggers and personal creators
- Online magazines with several writers and contributors
- News or content sites publishing in RTL languages
Features
Pick from nine prebuilt demos covering different blog and magazine styles, then customize the layout, colors and fonts to match your own site.
Highlight chosen stories in a featured posts section and let visitors filter content by category. Featured posts can be excluded from the main archive to avoid duplicates.
Adjust the site's color scheme and see each change in real time before saving, alongside Google Fonts integration for choosing typography.
Build multi-column mega menus and multi-level menus, with a sticky navigation bar and sticky sidebar that stay visible as readers scroll down the page.
On phones, navigation opens in a slide-out menu that can also hold widgets, giving mobile readers access to menus and extra content in one panel.
Choose numbered pagination, a load more button or infinite loading for archives, depending on how you want readers to move through your posts.
Works with the Co-Authors Plus plugin so posts can credit several writers or guest authors, which suits collaborative blogs and magazines.
Includes AMP support for mobile pages, right-to-left language support for Arabic, Hebrew or Persian sites, and a post views counter to surface popular posts.

Questions about Overflow
Can I build pages with Elementor using this theme?
Yes. The theme is compatible with Elementor, Elementor Pro and the Gutenberg block editor. Its typography and layout settings also carry through to the block editor, so what you see while editing stays close to the published page.
Does it support posts written by more than one author?
It does, through the Co-Authors Plus plugin. With that plugin active, you can credit multiple authors on a single post and add guest authors, which is useful for magazines and team blogs with many contributors.
Will it work for a site in Arabic or Hebrew?
Yes. The theme includes right-to-left language support, so you can build sites in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and other RTL languages with the layout displaying in the correct reading direction.
How much control do I get over the homepage layout?
You can start from any of the nine demos, then choose among multiple homepage and archive layouts, several page header types, a featured posts section and category filters. Colors and Google Fonts can be adjusted with a live preview.
Is Overflow free?
The code of Overflow is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Overflow is this?
Version 1.6.2, released Aug 24, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Overflow?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Overflow automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
