What it does
Many bloggers want a site that puts their writing first and still looks polished. This theme answers that with a minimalist design and careful typography that keeps the focus on your posts. You start from one of 7 demo designs, then adjust header types, homepage and archive layouts, colors and Google Fonts to match your style. Featured posts and category sections let you put chosen content up front, and you can keep those featured posts out of the main archives so readers do not see the same story twice.
Navigation gets plenty of attention here. A mega menu, sticky navigation and sidebars, and a mobile slide-out menu with widgets help readers move around on any screen. The layout is responsive and retina ready, and AMP support is included for mobile pages. Multi-author sites can credit guest writers through Co-Authors Plus compatibility. The theme works with the Gutenberg block editor, carrying its typography and layout into the editing view, and it is compatible with WooCommerce if you want to add a shop to your blog.

Questions about The Affair
Can I change the look without coding?
Yes. You can start from one of 7 demos, then switch header types, homepage and archive layouts, colors and Google Fonts through the theme settings. Color changes show up in a live preview, so you can test ideas before committing to them.
Does it work for a blog with multiple writers?
It does. The theme supports multiple authors and guest authors, with compatibility for the Co-Authors Plus plugin. That makes it a reasonable fit for small online magazines or collaborative blogs where posts need to credit more than one writer.
Will it look good on phones?
The theme is fully responsive and retina ready. It includes a mobile slide-out menu that can hold widgets, and it offers AMP support for mobile pages, so readers on smaller screens get a layout made for them.
Can I sell products from my blog?
The theme is compatible with WooCommerce, so you can add a shop alongside your posts. It also works with the Gutenberg block editor, where its typography and layout carry through as you write and edit content.
Is The Affair free?
The code of The Affair is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of The Affair is this?
Version 3.6.1, released Sep 2, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update The Affair?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of The Affair automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
