- SecurityFixed a missing authorization check on the form import handler. An unauthenticated request to admin-post.php could overwrite an existing form (identified by its publicly visible form key) and inject stored cross-site scripting via the form description — potentially leading to site takeover. The import handler now requires the edit_pages capability and a valid nonce, and rejects malformed uploads.
- SecurityForm titles and descriptions are now sanitised on output (esc_html() for the title, wp_kses_post() for the description).
- FixedFixed a PHP warning ("Trying to access array offset on value of type null") when saving a form.
What it does
Advanced Custom Fields is great for structuring data in the WordPress admin, but getting those fields in front of visitors usually takes custom code. This plugin closes that gap. You build forms using the ACF field types you already know, including repeaters, galleries, date pickers and third-party fields, and place them on the front end. Visitors can then submit data, answer surveys, or create and edit posts and their own user profiles without ever opening the dashboard.
Forms can be set up through a visual interface or defined in code, so site owners and developers can each work the way they prefer. A built-in page field splits long forms into wizard-style steps. On submission, the plugin can send multiple formatted emails, post a notice to Slack, add the person to a Mailchimp list or pass data to Zapier. Developers get hooks and APIs to control how submissions are handled. It requires Advanced Custom Fields Pro.
