What it does
Editing a published post directly means every typo or half-finished change shows up on your site right away. That gets risky when several people contribute to the same blog, company site or store. This plugin adds a review step: users submit revision requests instead of changing live content, and administrators or editors decide what gets published. Proposed edits wait in a Revision Queue, where they can be compared against the current version using the WordPress Compare Revisions screen, then approved or rejected.
The workflow runs inside the native WordPress editor and also works with page builders like Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder, so writers keep using the tools they know. Approved changes can go live at once or at a scheduled date and time. Email notifications keep editors informed about submissions, approvals and published updates. It also supports WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Advanced Custom Fields and WPML, with a Fields tab for comparing custom field changes and language filtering for multilingual sites.
Best for
- Multi-author blogs with editorial approval steps
- Corporate sites where published pages need sign-off
- WooCommerce stores and multilingual WPML sites

Questions about PublishPress Revisions Pro
Can contributors edit a published post without changing the live version?
Yes. Users submit their edits as a revision request, and the published content stays as it is. An administrator or editor reviews the change in the Revision Queue and approves or rejects it before it goes live.
Does it work with Elementor, Divi or Beaver Builder?
Yes. The plugin supports content created with Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder as well as the native WordPress editor, so your team can keep working in the builder they already use while revisions go through review.
Can I see changes to custom fields before approving a revision?
Yes. The Compare Revisions screen includes a Fields tab for comparing custom field changes, and it supports Advanced Custom Fields. Custom fields from popular plugins and themes can be registered so they appear grouped with friendly captions.
Can I control who is allowed to submit or approve revisions?
You can assign the Revisor role or customize existing roles. Paired with Permissions Pro, you can refine rights by role or user and limit who can submit or approve changes by post, category or taxonomy term.
Is PublishPress Revisions Pro free?
The code of PublishPress Revisions Pro is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of PublishPress Revisions Pro is this?
Version 4.1.0, released Oct 1, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update PublishPress Revisions Pro?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of PublishPress Revisions Pro automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
