What it does
Service businesses often get asked whether they offer gift vouchers, and handling them by hand with paper cards or spreadsheets gets messy. This addon brings gift cards into your booking setup. Customers can buy a card for someone, write a personalized message and choose from the amounts you offer. You set an expiry period for each card, so outstanding balances do not sit open forever. The recipient then enters their code while booking an appointment, and the value is applied to the service they choose.
On the admin side, a dedicated dashboard keeps track of gift card codes, orders and usage in one place. Each card gets a unique generated code, and balances can be checked by both customers and admins. Email notifications go out about purchases, balances and upcoming expiry, which saves you from sending reminders manually. The addon works inside your existing BookingPress workflow, so it suits salons, spas, studios, clinics and other appointment-based businesses already using that booking plugin.
Best for
- Salons, spas and beauty studios using BookingPress
- Clinics, coaches and consultants selling bookable services
- Agencies building appointment sites for service clients

Questions about BookingPress - Gift Card Addon
Do I need BookingPress for this addon to work?
Yes. This is an extension for the BookingPress appointment booking plugin and works inside its existing workflows. It adds gift card purchasing, redemption and management to the booking system you already run, so the main BookingPress plugin needs to be in place.
How does someone use a gift card they received?
The recipient enters their gift card code during the appointment booking process. The card value is applied to the service they book, and they can check the remaining balance, which helps when a card is not used up in a single visit.
Can I control how long gift cards stay valid?
Yes. You can set expiry dates for gift cards, which encourages people to book within a reasonable time. The addon can also send email reminders before a card expires, so recipients are less likely to forget about it.
Can buyers choose different gift card values?
The addon supports multiple gift card amounts, so you can offer several values to suit different budgets. Buyers pick an amount, add a personalized message for the recipient, and the purchase is recorded in your gift card dashboard.
Is BookingPress - Gift Card Addon free?
