What it does
Many appointment-based businesses in Latin America have customers who expect to pay with Mercado Pago. If your booking site runs on BookingPress, this addon adds Mercado Pago as a payment gateway so clients can book a slot and pay for it in the same flow. It requires the BookingPress appointment booking plugin and is built to work with the BookingPress Standard, Professional and Enterprise plans.
Once the gateway is in place, customers can choose credit cards, debit cards or Mercado Pago's own payment system at checkout. Transactions are handled by Mercado Pago's security protocols, and the payment process works on mobile devices too. After a payment goes through, the booking confirmation is triggered automatically, so you don't have to confirm paid appointments by hand. It fits salons, clinics, consultants and other service businesses taking bookings from Latin American clients.
