What it does
Appointment businesses often rely on email alone, and those messages can sit unread. This add-on sends status updates straight to a client's mobile phone as text messages. When a booking event happens, such as a new appointment, a cancellation, a reschedule or a payment confirmation, the matching SMS goes out automatically. Admins can also receive status updates, so everyone involved knows where each appointment stands.
Setup happens inside the BookingPress interface. You pick an SMS gateway from 36 predefined options, which lets you choose a provider that suits your region and budget. You then write message templates using placeholders that pull in booking details automatically, so each text reads clearly and refers to the right appointment. It works alongside the other BookingPress notification options, such as WhatsApp notifications and Google Calendar.
