What it does
A community site built on the BuddyBoss Platform covers a lot out of the box, but owners often want more control over members, more ways to keep people participating, and easier backend upkeep. This plugin collects a set of extensions aimed at those needs. It works with the BuddyBoss Platform and adds tools for organizing and monitoring members, along with extra social features such as messaging, group options and friend management.
On the engagement side, it introduces customized notifications, activity triggers and gamification elements. Admins also get backend utilities to cut down on manual work, including automatic notification cleanup that deletes old read and unread notifications to keep the database tidy. Settings and options let you tailor each tool to your community, which suits membership sites, social networks and online learning communities running BuddyBoss.

Questions about BuddyBoss Tools
Does this plugin work without the BuddyBoss Platform?
The tools are built specifically as extensions for the BuddyBoss Platform. They add to the features BuddyBoss already provides, so the plugin is meant for sites that run on BuddyBoss rather than for general WordPress sites.
Can it help clean up old notifications on my community site?
Yes. It includes automatic notification cleanup, which lets admins delete old read and unread notifications. This keeps notification records from piling up in the database as your community grows and stays active.
What kinds of engagement features does it add?
It adds customized notifications, activity triggers and gamification elements, plus extended social options such as improved messaging, group options and friend management. Together these give members more ways to interact and stay involved.
Can I adjust the tools to fit my community?
The extensions come with flexible settings and options, so you can configure them to match how your membership site, social network or learning community works.
Is BuddyBoss Tools free?
The code of BuddyBoss Tools is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of BuddyBoss Tools is this?
Version 1.1.0, released Jul 15, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update BuddyBoss Tools?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of BuddyBoss Tools automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
