What it does
Many sites end up mixing fonts from different places, such as a Google Font for headings, an Adobe Typekit family for body text, and a self-hosted @font-face file for a logo. Managing all of that usually means editing stylesheets. This plugin gathers Google Fonts, Adobe Typekit, @font-face fonts and standard CSS fonts into a single manager, and it includes Google Early Access fonts, which cover a range of non-Latin scripts and languages.
Once fonts are loaded, you build typography rules that control size, line height, weight, color, spacing, shadows and more, with responsive CSS3 units for different screen sizes. Rules can target classes or IDs, so they work alongside page builders like WPBakery, Divi and Elementor. A shortcode wizard helps you create styled text blocks, and the plugin works with WPML and Polylang for multilingual sites.
Best for
- Designers mixing Google, Adobe and custom fonts on one site
- Multilingual sites using WPML, Polylang or non-Latin scripts
- Page builder users wanting typography control without CSS

Questions about FontPress
Can I use Adobe Typekit and Google Fonts together?
Yes. The plugin supports Google Fonts, Adobe Typekit, @font-face custom fonts and standard CSS fonts, and you can combine them on the same site. Each font can then be used in your own typography rules.
Does it work with Elementor, Divi or WPBakery?
It works with those builders through classes and IDs. You create a typography rule in the plugin, give it a class or ID, and assign that same class or ID to elements in your builder to apply the styling.
Will it handle languages that don't use the Latin alphabet?
It includes Google Early Access fonts, which are designed for a variety of non-Latin scripts. It is also compatible with WPML, Polylang and other multilingual plugins, and its frontend elements are translated into several languages.
Do I need to know CSS to style text?
No. Typography rules are set through the plugin's controls, and the shortcode wizard lets you create styled text blocks in a few clicks. Font previews also help you check how a style looks before applying it.
Is FontPress free?
The code of FontPress is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of FontPress is this?
Version 3.4.8, released May 15, 2025. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update FontPress?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of FontPress automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
