What it does
Nonprofits that take donations through GiveWP and manage relationships in Salesforce often end up with two separate sets of records. Keeping them aligned usually means exporting, re-typing and checking for duplicates. This add-on closes that gap. Once you connect your site to your Salesforce NPSP account with a login and a connect button, new donors are created as Salesforce Contacts, and each gift creates or updates a Donation Opportunity. There is no need for a third-party automation service such as Zapier to move the data across.
The plugin matches donors by email address, so a returning supporter updates their existing Contact instead of creating a second one. Recurring gifts are handled too: GiveWP subscriptions sync to Salesforce Recurring Donation records, letting you follow the first gift and later renewals in one place. For developers, filters are available to adjust the data sent to the Salesforce API when contacts, donations and recurring donations are created or updated. It requires the GiveWP plugin and is built specifically for NPSP users.
