ImprovedShow Membership tab on own profile in BuddyBoss App

What it does

Running a membership site often means your members can read protected content but have no place to talk to each other. This add-on brings BuddyPress community tools into a MemberPress site so members can create profiles, post updates, send private messages and join groups. Everything stays tied to MemberPress access rules, so the community lives inside the same protected area as your paid content.

The plugin uses MemberPress rules to decide who can reach which community features. You can restrict BuddyPress groups to specific membership levels, and access is granted or removed automatically when members upgrade, downgrade or cancel. It suits organizations, clubs and online learning platforms that want tiered content and member discussion in one place, and it works alongside other MemberPress add-ons such as Courses, Quizzes and Easy Affiliate.

Best for

Membership sites adding a private member community
Clubs and organizations with tiered member groups
Online learning platforms using MemberPress Courses

Features

MemberPress and BuddyPress integration

Combines MemberPress membership management with BuddyPress social networking so members can interact on the same site where their subscription content lives.

Groups restricted by membership

Limit BuddyPress groups to chosen membership levels so discussions, events and group content are open only to members with the right access.

Automatic access changes

MemberPress rules grant or revoke BuddyPress community features on their own as members upgrade, downgrade or cancel their subscriptions, with no manual updates needed.

Member profiles with visibility control

Members can customize their profiles and interact socially, while you decide who can view or join based on each person's membership status.

Activity streams and private messaging

Members can share updates in activity streams and message each other privately inside the protected area of your membership site.

Central member overview

See members' subscription status, group participation and activity from one interface, which makes day to day community administration simpler.

Works with other MemberPress add-ons

Supports other MemberPress add-ons such as Courses, Quizzes and Easy Affiliate, so the community can sit alongside learning content and affiliate programs.

Membership tab in BuddyBoss App

Members can see a Membership tab on their own profile when using the BuddyBoss App, giving them a quick view of their membership details.

Questions about MemberPress BuddyPress

Can I limit certain BuddyPress groups to paying members only?

Yes. You can restrict BuddyPress groups to specific membership levels, so only members on those levels can access the group's discussions, events and content. Members without the right membership are kept out.

What happens to community access when a member cancels or changes plans?

Access follows MemberPress rules automatically. When a member upgrades, downgrades or cancels, the plugin grants or revokes the matching BuddyPress community features, so you do not have to adjust group access by hand.

Does it work with other MemberPress add-ons?

It supports other MemberPress add-ons, including Courses, Quizzes and Easy Affiliate. That lets you run courses or an affiliate program on the same site where members connect in groups and on profiles.

Which social features do members get?

Members get BuddyPress profiles they can customize, activity streams for sharing updates, private messaging and groups. You control who can view or join these areas based on membership status.

Is MemberPress BuddyPress free?

The code of MemberPress BuddyPress is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of MemberPress BuddyPress is this?

Version 1.2.0, released Sep 8, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update MemberPress BuddyPress?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of MemberPress BuddyPress automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
